About the Role
PPMPPL is seeking two (2) experienced Chief Construction Managers to direct and coordinate site execution activities for our Chennai Metro Rail track works. These are key personnel positions under the main contract, responsible for ensuring production milestones, engineering accuracy, and seamless deployment across all ballastless and ballasted track infrastructure.

Minimum Educational Qualifications
Candidates must possess the following credential:
B.E / B.Tech degree in Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university.

Experience Required
Total Work Experience: Minimum 10 years.
Experience in Similar Position: Minimum 5 years.

Key Responsibilities
Track Construction Leadership: Lead and manage physical site construction teams across all target corridors, supervising the precise layout, assembly, and alignment of heavy track sections.
Compliance & Standards:



Oversee construction methodologies to match required execution tolerances, ensuring full alignment with structural designs and client quality frameworks.
Site Operations: Direct daily track laying operations, manage subcontractors, and schedule specialized plant equipment—including Mobile Flash Butt Welding Machines—for optimal track production output.
Coordination & Safety: Work in close collaboration with the Planning Manager to avoid critical path delays, while partnering with the Chief Safety Manager to maintain zero-incident site environments.
Team & Reporting: Manage the broader site engineering field staff (supervisors, section engineers, and surveyors) and deliver routine progress metrics to the Project Manager and client representatives.
