- Your current role - challenging and future-oriented:
- Perform analysis and design of single line diagram.
- Develop concept of substation relaying & metering diagrams (i.e. A.C. schematic diagrams), and D.C. Schematic for basic design.
- Responsible to produce protection and control designs for LVAC, LVDC and UPS equipment associated with LTS.
- Responsible for the production C.T./V.T. and cable sizing calculations.
- Responsible for the production relay configurations and associated documentation.
- Production of Engineering and Test Specifications for new and existing solutions.
- Prepare specification & Bill of Material for Protection/Control/Metering/RTU/ Communication Panels
- Develop concept Diagram for substation control system and Communications interfaces including RTUs, HMIs, and IEDs.
- Develop Protection and Control Panel layouts.
- Develop high level Cable Schedule for Substation.
- Perform Factory Acceptance Test for Protection and Control Panels.
- Perform reviews of work performed by others.
- Work closely with other engineering and design and project team members to coordinate overall design and requirements during execution and commissioning phases.
- Understand and also clarify customer requirements, driving those expectations into Siemens solutions.
- We don't need superheroes, just super minds:
- 4-6 years of experience with a focus on protection/control/communications design for substations.
- B.E. Electrical or equivalent
- 8-10 Yrs. of Experience
- Experience in writing and providing support documentation for relay calculations.
- Knowledge on ANSI standards, IEC standards knowledge is a plus.
- Experience with various vendor protective relay equipment typically used in substation. protection, including SEL, Siemens, GE.
- Know-How in Configuration Tools for protection relays from different vendors (SEL, Siemens, Hitachi, GE, Schneider ) and control systems
