Key Responsibilities:
Teaching:
- Teach undergraduate and graduate-level courses in psychology, which may include general psychology, research methods, statistics, and specialized topics based on expertise (e.g., clinical psychology, cognitive psychology, developmental psychology, social psychology, etc.).
- Develop and update course materials, syllabi, and assessments that align with departmental goals and student learning outcomes.
- Mentor and advise undergraduate and graduate students, guiding them in academic and career planning.
- Supervise student research projects and internships as part of the department’s academic program.
- Foster an inclusive and engaging classroom workplace that promotes student participation and critical thinking.

Research:
- Develop and maintain an active, independent research program in psychology, contributing to the advancement of knowledge in the field.
- Publish research findings in reputable peer-reviewed journals and present at academic conferences.
- Seek external funding opportunities (e.g., grants)



to support research activities.
- Collaborate with colleagues in the department and across the university on interdisciplinary research projects.

Service:
- Participate in departmental and university service, including faculty meetings, committee work, and faculty governance.
- Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of the psychology curriculum.
- Engage in professional development activities to stay current with trends and advancements in psychology.
- Serve as a resource for students, providing academic guidance and career advice.
- Support and promote diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives within the department.

Qualifications:
Required:
- Ph.D. or equivalent in Psychology or a related field (must be completed by the time of appointment).
- Evidence of excellence in teaching at the undergraduate or graduate level.
