Role & responsibilities
- Develop and modify Safety Shoe designs as per product requirements and manufacturing feasibility.
- Prepare Mean Form and perform Shoe Calculation using ShoeMaster.
- Develop and modify shoe patterns using ShoeMaster.
- Carry out size grading of shoe patterns across the required size range.
- Prepare and validate pattern cutting programs for Die-less Cutting Machines using ShoeMaster.
- Optimize pattern placement/nesting to improve leather/upper material utilization and minimize wastage.
- Develop production-ready patterns considering seam allowance, folding, stitching, component positioning and construction requirements.
- Work on last dimensions, shoe construction and component integration.
- Develop designs considering Safety Toe Cap, upper, sole, insole, lining and other footwear components.
- Prepare and maintain technical specifications, engineering data and pattern files.
- Support development and modification of patterns based on sample trials, fitting feedback and production requirements.
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, Tool Room,



Development and Sourcing teams for sample and product development.
- Ensure pattern and design outputs are suitable for production and Die-less Cutting Machine operations.
- Maintain proper control of design revisions, grading data, pattern files and approved specifications.

Preferred candidate profile

Robust expertise in Shoe Cutting, Closing, Pattern Engineering, and Production Operations.
Mandatory experience of Shoemaster Software (Design Suite & Engineering Suite).
Prior exposure to pattern grading, nesting, consumption optimization, and tooling development.
Experience in managing production teams, training operators, and driving shop-floor productivity.
Familiarity with ERP systems, production reporting, and manufacturing KPIs.
