Job Title: Application Support Engineer-2

Role Summary:

We are looking for an L2 Backend SQL & Application Support Engineer to handle advanced production issue analysis, database troubleshooting, and escalation management. The ideal candidate will have solid PostgreSQL expertise combined with the ability to investigate application/backend issues, perform root cause analysis, and coordinate resolutions with development teams.

Key Responsibilities:
- Handle L2 escalations from L1 support and drive issues to resolution
- Analyze complex production issues, data inconsistencies, and performance problems
- Write and optimize advanced SQL queries for investigation, debugging, and fixes
- Perform in-depth Root Cause Analysis (RCA)



for recurring/critical issues
- Analyze application logs, API failures, and database-level errors
- Work closely with application and backend development teams to clearly articulate and resolve issues
- Coordinate fixes with dev teams, validate resolutions, and support production releases
- Follow incident, problem, and change management processes
- Use basic Python for scripting, automation, or log/data analysis support
- Maintain documentation of issues, RCAs, and resolution steps
