Role & responsibilities
- Lead civil and structural engineering activities for Industrial (Ferrous and Non-Ferrous) plant projects.
- Understand client requirements through project discussions, data collection, and site visits.
- Support overall project engineering, design engineering, scheduling, and procurement activities.
- Prepare technical proposals and estimate engineering man-hours for current projects.
- Develop cost estimates for construction works.
- Prepare enquiry documents for suppliers and subcontractors.
- Coordinate with and evaluate suppliers and subcontractors.
- Interpret and review engineering and assignment drawings.
- Develop and review technical reports, including:
- Concept Notes
- Feasibility Study Reports
- Detailed Project Reports (DPR)
- Prepare and review technical specifications and Bills of Quantities (BOQs).
- Perform checking and review of RCC and structural designs, including GFC drawings.
- Prepare and review design calculations and design documents.
- Act as the Lead Engineer for assigned projects.
- Work collaboratively across project teams and undertake site visits as required.
Preferred candidate profile
- Qualification: Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering from a reputed institute.
- Experience: 9 to 15 years in civil and structural engineering for industrial projects, preferably in Ferrous / Non-Ferrous sectors.
- Strong knowledge of civil and structural design codes and standards such as:
- IS , ACI, AISC, ASCE, BS EN
- Experience in project engineering, design engineering, project scheduling, and procurement coordination.
- Capability to prepare and review design calculations, technical specifications, BOQs, and engineering reports.
- Proficiency in RCC and structural design review.
- Working knowledge of Navisworks.
- Hands-on experience with structural analysis and design software such as:
- STAAD.Pro
- ETABS
- SAP2000
- Strong technical, analytical, and coordination skills.
