Role Summary

The
Business Analyst
will work with business stakeholders, Product Owners, Engineering, QA, and Project teams to gather, analyze, and document requirements for
Head End System (HES), Meter Data Management (MDM), and energy-metering applications
. The role involves translating business needs into user stories, functional specifications, process flows, acceptance criteria, and supporting Agile software delivery in a .NET-based workplace.

Job Location- Kolkata, West Bengal

Key Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, and document business, functional, and non-functional requirements for HES, MDM, Android/iOS, and enterprise applications.
- Create
BRDs, FRDs, user stories, use cases, workflows, wireframes, and acceptance criteria
.
- Analyze metering processes including onboarding, reads, alarms, validation, estimation, synchronization, exceptions, and integrations.
- Collaborate with Product, .NET Development, QA, and business teams to clarify and validate requirements.
- Maintain
requirement traceability
across development, testing, UAT, and releases.




- Support backlog refinement, sprint planning, UAT, defect triage, status tracking, and milestone follow-up.
- Analyze integrations across HES, MDM, billing, analytics, and other enterprise systems.
- Identify requirement gaps, risks, dependencies, and change impacts.
- Prepare process documents, presentations, status reports, meeting notes, and audit-ready documentation.
- Ensure adherence to
SDLC, CMMI Level 5, and ISO
quality/process standards.

Tools & Technical Exposure
- Azure DevOps, Jira, MS Project
or equivalent.
- MS Office, Visio, Excel, PowerPoint, Confluence
or equivalent.
- Understanding of
.NET application environments, APIs, integrations, data mapping, and SDLC
.
- Exposure to
SQL/data analysis
for validation and issue investigation.

Required Qualifications & Experience
- 5+ years
of experience as a Business Analyst in software product development, enterprise applications, or utility/energy
