Role Description
The Design Engineer role at SMS ENTERPRISE is a full time, hybrid position based in Surat, with some flexibility for work from home. The Design Engineer will develop solar power plant layouts, electrical schematics, and detailed engineering drawings using CAD tools, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations. Day-to-day tasks include preparing permit plan sets,



performing load calculations, supporting MEPF designs, and coordinating with project managers and consultants to deliver accurate and timely design documentation. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, responding to technical queries, and optimizing designs for efficiency, safety, and cost-effectiveness. The Design Engineer will also contribute to continuous improvement of internal design processes and templates.

Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Design Engineering and Product Design, with the ability to translate project requirements into practical, buildable solutions.
- Background in Mechanical Engineering to support structural assessments, component selection, and system integration.
- Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for creating detailed 2D and 3D drawings, layouts, and documentation.
