JOB DESCRIPTION – MANAGER – SCRAP PURCHASE

Job Purpose

Responsible for end-to-end scrap purchasing, including supplier development, market sourcing, price negotiation, quality control, logistics, and cost optimization.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage a strong scrap supplier network.
- Source ferrous and non-ferrous scrap at competitive prices.
- Monitor scrap market prices and industry trends.
- Negotiate purchase rates and commercial terms.
- Ensure proper quality, grading, weighment, and documentation.
- Coordinate scrap collection, transportation, and delivery.
- Develop recent suppliers and sourcing locations.
- Control procurement costs and optimize landed cost.
- Maintain supplier relationships and resolve commercial issues.




- Lead the scrap purchase team and achieve procurement targets.

Qualification & Experience
- Graduate in Commerce, Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field.
- 8–12 years’ experience in scrap purchase/procurement.
- Experience in Steel/TMT, Recycling, Metal Trading, or Manufacturing preferred.
