Role Overview:

We are seeking a Sourcing & Compliance Engineer with expertise in electronics sourcing, supplier audits, and regulatory compliance. This role ensures that all materials, components, and finished products meet global safety, EMI/EMC, and certification standards while supporting supplier qualification, quality improvement, and production line setups for high-volume consumer electronics.

The candidate will work closely with engineering, operations, and quality teams to ensure that compliance, reliability, and manufacturability are embedded throughout the product lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Compliance & Certification (Primary Focus):
- Identify applicable global regulations, standards, and directives for new and existing products (RoHS, REACH, WEEE, CE, FCC, BIS, EMI/EMC, etc.).
- Ensure product and component compliance for safety, environmental, and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC/EMI) requirements.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, certification files, DoCs, and test reports across all geographies.
- Liaise with third-party labs, consultants,



and certification agencies for product testing, validation, and regulatory approvals.
- Monitor regulatory updates and assess their impact on existing SKUs, suppliers, and current developments.
- Embed compliance and safety requirements early in the product design and sourcing cycle (DFMA/pre-compliance stage).
- Manage product lifecycle compliance including PCN/EOL documentation, material declarations, and change control.

2. Supplier Quality & Audits:
- Conduct supplier and factory audits to evaluate quality systems, process capability, and compliance readiness (ISO 9001, ISO 14001).
- Verify material and component quality through inspection, documentation checks, and qualification processes (PPAP/FAI).
- Lead CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions) for supplier non-conformities or audit findings.
