Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Freight Broker to join our US Logistics team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in freight brokerage operations, carrier management, load booking, rate negotiation, and maintaining strong relationships with shippers and carriers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end freight brokerage operations for US-based shipments.
- Source, qualify, and build relationships with reliable carriers.
- Negotiate freight rates with carriers to ensure profitability.
- Coordinate with shippers, carriers, and internal teams for smooth shipment execution.
- Track shipments and provide timely updates to customers.
- Handle carrier inquiries, documentation, and issue resolution.
- Maintain accurate shipment records and update internal systems.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and revenue growth.
**Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum 1+ years of experience as a Freight Broker in the US logistics industry.
- Strong understanding of US trucking, freight lanes, and carrier networks.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple shipments simultaneously.
- Valuable knowledge of load boards and freight management processes.
- Strong problem-solving and customer-handling skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working with US shippers and carriers.
- Knowledge of tools like DAT, Truckstop, or similar freight platforms.
- Proven ability to meet targets and achieve revenue goals.
