Position Title : SAP Data Archival Specialist - ILM (Information Lifecycle Management)

Key Responsibilities :

SAP ILM Data Archival Strategy :
- Design and implement data archiving strategies using SAP Information Lifecycle Management (ILM) to manage the lifecycle of data, from creation to deletion, across SAP systems.
- Develop archiving policies and retention rules based on business needs and compliance requirements.
- Ensure effective data storage, retrieval, and deletion, adhering to regulatory standards like GDPR.

Data Archiving Execution :
- Perform data archiving processes for SAP modules (FI, CO, SD, MM, PP, etc.), ensuring minimal impact on system performance and data integrity.
- Monitor and manage archived data to maintain system performance and optimize the database size.
- Coordinate with functional teams to identify archive objects and data growth patterns, ensuring data is archived appropriately.

SAP ILM Configuration :
- Configure and maintain SAP ILM components, including ILM policies, rules, retention schedules, and storage systems.




- Integrate SAP ILM with third-party storage solutions and ensure seamless data management across various storage media.

Data Retention and Compliance :
- Ensure adherence to data retention policies and legal requirements, including GDPR, SOX, and other data protection regulations.
- Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure the secure and compliant archiving and deletion of sensitive data.

System Performance and Troubleshooting :
- Regularly monitor system performance and ensure that archiving jobs run smoothly and efficiently.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any archiving-related issues that affect system operations, user access, or performance.

Documentation and Reporting :
- Document data archiving processes, policies, and configurations for audit trails and knowledge transfer.
- Generate reports on archived data volumes, system performance improvements, and compliance adherence.
