About the Role
We are looking for a motivated Part-Time Software Engineer to join an early-stage software product development team.
This is a weekend-only work-from-home opportunity, suitable for a software engineer who wants to work on a real product alongside their studies, current employment, freelancing, or other commitments.
You will work directly with the founder/technical lead and contribute to building an early-stage software product from the ground up.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain software features
Work on frontend and/or backend development
Integrate REST APIs
Work with databases
Debug and test applications
Participate in technical discussions
Write clean and maintainable code
Give progress updates and demonstrate completed work
Take ownership of assigned tasks
Required Skills
Candidates should have practical experience in at least some of the following:
Python / Java / JavaScript
React or another modern frontend framework
REST APIs
SQL / PostgreSQL
Git
Basic software architecture and debugging
Knowledge of any of the following is a plus:
FastAPI
Docker
AI/LLM applications
LangChain / LangGraph
MCP
GIS / geospatial technologies
Cloud deployment
Working Arrangement
Saturday: 5–6 hours
Sunday: 5–6 hours
Approximately 40–50 hours per month
Fully remote
Flexible working hours within the weekend, subject to agreed team meetings
Direct interaction with the founder/technical lead
Compensation
₹10,000 per month for the agreed part-time schedule.
The role will initially be part time, with the possibility of increased responsibilities/hours as the product and company grow.
