Job Role: Dental Assistant

Job Description
- Prepare patients for dental examinations and treatments.
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures by handing instruments and managing suction.
- Sterilize and disinfect dental instruments and equipment according to infection-control procedures.
- Take dental X-rays where certified and legally permitted.
- Prepare treatment rooms before patient appointments.
- Ensure all required dental instruments, materials, and supplies are available.
- Maintain proper inventory of dental supplies.
- Monitor stock levels and arrange for ordering of required materials.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of treatment areas.
- Follow infection-control procedures and workplace safety standards.
- Support the dentist and clinical team in providing efficient patient care.

Key Responsibilities
Patient Care:
- Prepare patients for examinations and dental treatments.

Clinical Assistance
- Assist the dentist by passing instruments and managing suction.
- Prepare dental materials and required equipment.

Sterilization & Infection Control
- Sterilize and disinfect dental instruments and equipment.
- Follow proper infection-control and hygiene procedures.
- Maintain a clean and secure clinical environment.

Inventory Management
- Maintain inventory of dental instruments, consumables, and supplies.
- Monitor stock levels and arrange orders when required.
- Ensure necessary materials are available before procedures.

X-Ray Assistance
- Take dental X-rays only where appropriately certified and legally permitted.
- Follow proper safety and handling procedures for dental radiography.
