Key roles and responsibilities
- Take complete ownership of the project once the drawing is issued.
- Review drawings and conduct manufacturing feasibility analysis.
- Develop the complete manufacturing process and process plan.
- Identify and develop suitable vendors for raw material, tooling, special processes, and subcontract operations.
- Coordinate procurement of tools, fixtures, gauges, and other project requirements.
- Plan and monitor all development activities as per the project timeline.
- Conduct trials, prove out the manufacturing process, and resolve technical issues.
- Coordinate with Production and Quality for inspection and validation of the developed part.
- Optimize the process for quality, cycle time, cost, and productivity before regular production.
- Successfully hand over the proven and approved process, along with all documentation, to the Production team.
