Job Summary

The Medical Transcriptionist is responsible for accurately transcribing medical reports, clinical notes, and dictated information into written documents while maintaining high standards of accuracy, confidentiality, and timely completion.

Key Responsibilities
- Transcribe medical reports, clinical notes, discharge summaries, operative notes, and other healthcare-related documents accurately.
- Listen to and interpret dictated recordings from doctors and healthcare professionals.
- Ensure correct medical terminology, abbreviations, spelling, grammar, and formatting.
- Review and proofread transcribed documents for accuracy and completeness.




- Identify unclear or incomplete information and clarify it with the concerned healthcare skilled when required.
- Ensure all medical reports are completed and submitted within the required turnaround time.
- Maintain accuracy and consistency in patient documentation.
- Follow hospital-specific transcription formats, guidelines, and standard operating procedures.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and security of patient medical records and information.
- Ensure proper documentation and filing of completed transcription reports.
- Handle corrections and revisions promptly based on feedback from doctors or the concerned department.
- Coordinate with doctors, medical records, clinical departments, and other relevant teams as required.
- Maintain productivity and quality standards as per departmental requirements.
