Role Description
The Owner role in Mumbai is a full-time, on-site position responsible for overseeing and driving the strategic and operational performance of Ares Management’s local business activities. The individual in this role will provide leadership in setting business priorities, managing key stakeholder relationships, and ensuring alignment with global investment and risk management frameworks. Day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring portfolio performance, reviewing investment opportunities, coordinating with regional and global teams, and ensuring adherence to regulatory and corporate governance requirements. The role also involves guiding local teams, fostering a high-performance culture, and supporting initiatives related to cybersecurity, fraud prevention, and operational integrity.

Qualifications
- Solid leadership and people management skills, with experience guiding cross-functional teams and influencing senior stakeholders.
- Extensive experience in investment management, finance, or related fields, with exposure to credit,



private equity, real estate, or infrastructure.
- Proficiency in strategic planning, business development, and portfolio oversight, with a track record of driving growth and operational excellence.
- Solid understanding of risk management, regulatory compliance, corporate governance, and ethical business practices.
- Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively under changing market conditions.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to represent the organization in external meetings and industry forums.
- Ability to work on-site in Mumbai and collaborate effectively with global teams across multiple regions and time zones.
- Advanced degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related discipline preferred; relevant professional certifications are an advantage.
