Key Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain Item Definition including boundaries, interfaces, operating modes, assumptions and dependencies.
- Perform HARA (hazard identification, hazardous events, ASIL assignment) and derive Safety Goals and functional safety requirements.
- Develop Functional Safety Concept (FSC) and support Technical Safety Concept (TSC) decomposition into system/HW/SW safety requirements.
- Conduct FMEA, FTA and DFA.
- Plan and coordinate functional safety verification & validation across SIL/HIL/Vehicle and ensure traceability.
- Support safety case creation and evidence for milestones/release gates.
- Interface with suppliers; review Safety Manuals, FMEDAs, diagnostic coverage claims and DIA alignment.
