Job Description – Accounts & Finance Head

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Accounts & Finance Head to lead the company’s finance and accounting function and ensure strong financial control, compliance and business support.

The ideal candidate should be hands-on, commercially aware and capable of managing the complete finance function in a fast-growing startup environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day accounting and finance operations.
- Manage accounting, bookkeeping, reconciliations, receivables and payables.
- Prepare and monitor financial statements, MIS, cash flow and budgets.
- Manage taxation, GST, TDS, statutory filings and regulatory compliance.
- Coordinate with auditors, consultants, banks and financial institutions.
- Monitor cash flow, working capital and overall financial health.
- Establish strong financial controls and accounting processes.
- Support management with financial analysis, forecasting and business insights.
- Review expenses,



costs and financial performance to identify improvement opportunities.
- Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end closing.
- Manage and mentor the accounts & finance team.
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and company policies.

Requirements
- 7–12 years of relevant experience in Accounts & Finance, preferably with experience in a startup/D2C/e-commerce environment.
- Strong knowledge of accounting, taxation, GST, TDS and statutory compliance.
- Experience handling financial reporting, MIS, budgeting and cash-flow management.
- Strong proficiency in Tally/ERP and MS Excel/Google Sheets.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to independently manage the finance function and work closely with senior management.
- CA / CMA / MBA Finance or equivalent qualification preferred.
