Role & responsibilities

To prepare detailed and reliable cost estimates and technical proposals for tenders/enquiries by analyzing drawings, specifications, and tender documents, obtaining vendor quotations, and assessing risks, so as to ensure competitive pricing and compliance with project requirements.

Preferred candidate profile
- Study and analyze tender documents including drawings, specifications, BOQ, scope of work, terms & conditions, and addenda.
- Prepare detailed quantity take-offs from drawings and documents.
- Prepare cost estimates for materials, labor, equipment, subcontractors, and other direct & indirect costs.
- Obtain and evaluate vendor/subcontractor quotations and maintain a database of suppliers and rates.
- Prepare detailed BOQs, rate analysis, summary sheets, and compilation of the final offer.
- Identify project risks and assumptions, recommend clarifications or deviations if required.
- Ensure compliance with company estimation standards, policies, and procedures.




- Support the preparation of technical proposals in coordination with the design and engineering teams.
- Perform sensitivity analysis and value engineering to optimize costs.
- Meet tender submission deadlines and ensure accuracy and completeness of submissions.
- Maintain records of estimates, quotations, and correspondence for future reference.
- Any other responsibilities as assigned by the reporting manager.
- SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
- Strong knowledge of estimation principles, methods, and cost control.
- Proficient in BOQ preparation, rate analysis, and cost estimation.
- Positive understanding of drawings, specifications, and contract terms.
- Proficiency in MS Excel (advanced), AutoCAD (basic), and estimation software (e.g., Planswift, Bluebeam, Primavera, or similar).
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and teamwork.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
