As this bioinformatics position will provide
local technical and application support in Dubai
, we are looking for a candidate with the following skills and experience:

1. Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS):
Solid understanding and hands-on experience with NGS workflows. Experience with
Illumina
sequencing platforms is a strong plus.
2. Exome Analysis:
Practical experience with
exome data analysis
, including variant analysis and interpretation workflows.
3. BaseSpace:
Hands-on experience with
Illumina BaseSpace
and familiarity with its NGS data analysis and management capabilities.
4. Linux:
Good working knowledge of
Linux/Unix environments
, including command-line tools and basic scripting.
5. Bioinformatics Pipelines:




Experience developing, implementing, or using bioinformatics analysis pipelines. Familiarity with
Nextflow
is a strong plus, as we may adopt this framework for future workflow development and deployment.

Additional Considerations
- Ability to provide
hands-on, local technical support
to customers and internal teams.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate complex bioinformatics concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical users.
