Job Summary

We are looking for a Purchase Officer with 3–4 years of experience who can effectively manage purchase activities as well as sales of by-products. The role will involve approximately 40% Purchase and 60% Sales, with a strong focus on identifying buyers, developing market relationships, negotiating rates, and ensuring timely sales of by-products.

Key ResponsibilitiesPurchase – 40%
- Handle day-to-day purchase activities and vendor coordination.
- Source materials/products as per company requirements.
- Identify and evaluate suppliers, negotiate prices, and maintain vendor relationships.
- Compare quotations and ensure competitive purchasing.
- Coordinate with internal departments for purchase requirements and delivery schedules.
- Maintain purchase records, quotations, orders, and vendor documentation.
- Monitor market prices and supplier trends.





Sales of By-Products – 60%
- Manage the sale of company by-products in the local and regional market.
- Identify potential buyers and develop a strong buyer network.
- Maintain regular contact and good relationships with existing buyers.
- Research the market to understand current selling prices, demand, and buyer requirements.
- Generate current buyer leads and expand the customer base.
- Negotiate selling prices, payment terms, and other commercial conditions.
- Coordinate with buyers for order confirmation, dispatch, pickup, and payment follow-up.
- Ensure maximum realization/value from the sale of by-products.
- Maintain records of buyers, quotations, sales orders, rates, and transactions.
- Monitor competitor and market pricing to support effective sales decisions.

Candidate Requirements
- Graduate in any discipline; Diploma/Degree in Purchase, Sales, Supply Chain, Commerce, or related field will be preferred.
