Role & responsibilities
1. Patient assessment and management Conduct initial assessment, formulate diagnosis, and initiate appropriate treatment for critically ill neonates and children.
2. Monitoring of critically ill patients – Closely monitor vital signs, respiratory status, neurological status, fluid balance, laboratory parameters, and response to treatment.
3. Emergency care and resuscitation – Attend emergencies, perform/assist in neonatal and pediatric resuscitation, and stabilize critically ill patients.
4. Procedures and interventions – Perform or assist with procedures such as IV/IO access, arterial/central lines, airway management, intubation, ventilation, and other critical-care procedures as appropriately trained.
5. Coordination of multidisciplinary care – Work with consultants, nurses, respiratory therapists, laboratory/radiology services,
and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
6. Documentation and communication – Maintain accurate clinical records, treatment charts, progress notes, handover notes, and communicate the patient's condition and plan effectively during shifts.
7. Participation in teaching and quality improvement – Participate in ward rounds, case discussions, academic activities, audits, morbidity/mortality meetings, infection-control practices, and continuous quality-improvement initiatives.
Preferred candidate profile
* Candidate must have minimum 1 year of experience in NICU/PICU registrar
* Preffering immediate joiners
