Role Description

We are looking for a Tax Director to own the firm's tax practice — a full-time, on-site leadership role in Ahmedabad. This is a seat at the table, not just a review chair: you will lead the tax function day to day and act as a strategic advisor to clients and firm leadership on every significant tax matter.

You will:
- Lead tax compliance and preparation across a diverse portfolio of corporate and individual clients, with final review authority on complex returns
- Design and implement tax planning strategies that measurably reduce client tax exposure




- Track legislative and regulatory changes and translate them into clear, timely guidance for clients and the team
- Advise clients on the tax implications of business decisions — structuring, transactions, expansion, and exits
- Build, mentor, and quality-control a high-performing tax team, setting review standards the whole practice runs on
- Partner with our accounting and advisory teams so tax insight is embedded in everything the firm delivers
- Give firm leadership the tax perspective it needs for growth planning and risk management

Qualifications
- CA, CPA, EA, or equivalent professional qualification with substantial post-qualification experience in taxation, including time in a leadership role
- Deep command of tax law and compliance, with a track record of managing diverse client portfolios through full filing cycles
- Robust grounding in accounting — comfortable moving between financial
