JD – Claims Business

Leadership & Operations
- Lead the Commercial Claims function for AP & Telangana, ensuring effective management of claims across:
- Property Insurance
- Marine Insurance
- Engineering Insurance
- Liability Insurance
- Group Health & Personal Accident (where applicable)
- Miscellaneous Commercial Lines
- Ensure timely registration, investigation, assessment, and settlement of claims.
- Monitor claim reserves, outstanding claims, and settlement ratios.
- Drive continuous improvement in claims processes, productivity, and customer experience.
- Review and authorize high-value and complex claims as per delegated authority.

Large Loss & Complex Claims Management
- Personally oversee major, sensitive, and high-severity commercial claims.
- Coordinate with surveyors, forensic experts, loss assessors, legal teams, and reinsurers.
- Ensure accurate liability assessment and effective negotiation leading to optimal claim outcomes.
- Provide strategic direction for catastrophe and large-loss event management.

Customer & Stakeholder Management




- Build and maintain strong relationships with:
- Corporate customers
- Brokers and intermediaries
- Surveyors and third-party service providers
- Regulatory authorities and industry bodies
- Act as the escalation point for critical customer concerns and disputes.
- Drive customer retention through superior claims service delivery.

Governance, Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with IRDAI regulations, internal control standards, and company policies.
- Drive fraud prevention and investigation initiatives.
- Maintain robust governance around claims decisions and documentation.
- Monitor legal and regulatory developments impacting claims management.

Performance & Analytics
- Track and improve:
- Turnaround Time (TAT)
- Claims Leakage
- Claims Ratio
- Customer Satisfaction Scores
- Reserve Adequacy
- Productivity Metrics
- Present periodic MIS and business reviews to senior management.
