Summary

The D365 Finance & Operations Developer is responsible for designing, building, testing, documenting,

deploying and supporting maintainable solutions on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations and

related Microsoft technologies. This is a hands-on developer role, not a task-only coding role: the

successful candidate must be able to take well-defined user stories, ask the right clarification questions,

propose practical technical options, apply agreed engineering standards and deliver changes

independently without day-to-day micro-management.

We are particularly interested in candidates who can demonstrate independent ownership of technical

delivery. During the selection process candidates will be asked to explain how they approach solution

design, estimation, testing, code review, deployment and support handover.

Role purpose




- Translate business and product needs into robust D365 F&O; technical changes that are secure,

maintainable, supportable and aligned to agreed architecture and platform standards.
- Contribute to solution design for user stories, including options, assumptions, risks, dependencies,

estimates and test considerations, rather than waiting for detailed step-by-step technical instructions.
- Build quality into the development lifecycle through disciplined X++ development, code review, unit

testing, integration testing, documentation, ALM and controlled deployment practices.
- Work effectively within an Agile product team, collaborating with Product Owners, Business

Analysts, QA, functional consultants, architects, platform specialists and other developers.
