About the Role

We need a Java Developer with 4+ years of hands-on experience to build and maintain backend services for our enterprise and industrial automation projects. The role involves working on Spring Boot applications backed by MySQL, along with socket-based integrations with field devices (weighbridges, sensors, controllers) and third-party systems. Solid fundamentals are valued over a long list of frameworks.

Must-Have Skills
- Core Java: Java 8 or above collections, generics, streams, exception handling, and a working understanding of multi-threading and concurrency (Runnable, Executor Service, synchronization).
- Spring Boot: Building REST APIs, dependency injection, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA / Hibernate, configuration through application.yml / application.properties, and profiles.
- MySQL: Writing efficient SQL queries, joins, indexes, basic schema design, ORM mapping with JPA, and transaction handling.
- Socket Programming: Hands-on with java.net.Socket and ServerSocket,



TCP/IP client and server implementations, persistent connections, framing and parsing custom byte/text protocols, and basic threading for concurrent connections.
- Build & Version Control: Maven or Gradle, Git.
- Debugging: Reading logs, using IDE debuggers, basic profiling, and troubleshooting connectivity and performance issues.

Nice to Have
- Industrial protocols: Modbus TCP/RTU, OPC UA, MQTT.
- Apache HttpClient, RestTemplate, or WebClient for external integrations.
- Apache Kafka or other message brokers.
- Unit testing with JUnit and Mockito.
- Basics of Linux command line and Docker.
- Exposure to Azure App Services or AWS deployments.
- Swagger / OpenAPI documentation.
