Job Summary: - The Commis chef is responsible for assisting in the preparation and presentation of high-quality sandwiches, salads, and bowl food items under the guidance of senior chefs. The role requires maintaining kitchen standards, ensuring hygiene compliance, and supporting smooth kitchen operations with a focus on creativity, consistency, and customer satisfaction.

Job Description:-
- Able to set priorities and complete tasks in a timely manner.
- Work well in stressful situations; remain calm under pressure and able to solve problems.
- Able to work in a moist, hot and sometimes loud environment.
- Familiarity with using kitchen knives for chopping, dicing, and slicing ingredients with precision.
- Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment (ovens, fryers, grills, etc.) and the ability to learn proper usage under supervision.
- Prepare, assemble, and present sandwiches, salads, and bowl food according to standard recipes and portion sizes.
- Assist in mise-en-place, including washing,



cutting, and storing fresh produce, cold cuts, and condiments.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workstation, equipment, and storage areas.
- Follow hygiene, safety, and food handling protocols (HACCP standards).
- Support senior chefs in menu development and implementing current recipes.
- Monitor stock levels, report shortages, and ensure proper storage of ingredients.
- Ensure consistency in taste, portioning, and presentation of all items prepared.
- Collaborate with kitchen team members to ensure smooth and timely service.
- Adhere to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and minimize wastage.
- Hands-on experience in preparing sandwiches, salads, and cold kitchen items.
- Knowledge of continental cuisine, ingredients, and preparation techniques.
- Good knife skills and food presentation abilities.
- Understanding of portion control and recipe adherence.
