Role & responsibilities

Manage and supervise environmental laboratory testing and analytical activities.
Ensure proper testing, data documentation, and method verification.
Review and verify STPs, SOPs, test methods, and laboratory formats.
Ensure timely calibration, intermediate checks, and preventive maintenance of laboratory instruments.
Maintain laboratory environmental conditions in accordance with Valuable Laboratory Practices (GLP).
Review and verify test results to ensure accuracy, reliability, and quality of analytical data.
Provide technical training, guidance, and support to analysts.
Allocate samples to analysts and supervise the analysis team.
Manage laboratory consumables, chemicals, glassware, and other laboratory requirements.




Maintain proper technical documentation and traceability of laboratory activities.
Support NABL/ISO 17025 audits, quality assessments, and corrective/preventive actions.
Ensure all testing activities are performed as per approved methods and the laboratory quality management system.

Preferred candidate profile

Qualification
B.Sc./M.Sc. in Chemistry, Environmental Science, Environmental Chemistry, or a related scientific discipline.

Experience
58 years of relevant experience in an Environmental Testing Laboratory, preferably with experience in laboratory testing, instrument management, method verification, quality systems, and team supervision.
