Role & responsibilities
- Operate the weighbridge for all incoming and outgoing vehicles.
- Ensure accurate recording of vehicle weight, material details, and dispatch data.
- Generate weighment slips, gate passes, and dispatch reports.
- Verify vehicle details, challans, invoices, e-way bills, and other transport documents.
- Coordinate with dispatch, production, security, stores, and logistics teams for smooth vehicle movement.
- Monitor loading and unloading activities to ensure accurate material accounting.
- Maintain daily weighbridge registers, transaction logs, and MIS reports.
- Ensure proper calibration and accuracy of the weighbridge equipment.
- Coordinate with maintenance teams and vendors for preventive and breakdown maintenance.
- Monitor weighbridge software, computer systems, printers, CCTV, RFID, and networking equipment.
- Ensure uninterrupted operation of the weighbridge during all shifts.
- Raise maintenance requests and follow up for timely repairs.
- Ensure compliance with legal metrology standards, company policies, and statutory requirements.
- Maintain records of calibration certificates, inspection reports, and maintenance history.
- Handle customer, transporter, and vendor queries related to weighment and dispatch.
- Ensure data accuracy in SAP, ERP, or weighbridge management software.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly weighment and dispatch reports.
- Support internal and external audits by maintaining complete documentation.
- Follow all safety procedures and housekeeping standards at the weighbridge area.
