Role & responsibilities

1. Marketplace Management (Amazon & Flipkart)
- Own and manage Seller Central (Amazon) and Seller Hub (Flipkart) accounts listings, catalog, pricing, inventory sync, and account health.
- Run and optimize Amazon Ads (Sponsored Products/Brand/Display) and Flipkart Ads; own ACOS/ROAS targets.
- Manage A+ content, brand store setup, reviews/ratings strategy, and deal/promotion calendars (Lightning Deals, BBD, Big Billion Days, etc.)
- Ensure MAP/pricing discipline, policy compliance, and minimize suppressed listings or account health flags.

2. D2C Website Sales
- Own sales performance of the brand's own website (Shopify/WooCommerce or equivalent) — conversion rate, AOV, cart abandonment, repeat purchase rate.
- Work with performance marketing (Meta/Google Ads) and CRM/retention tools to drive traffic and LTV.
- Coordinate with logistics/payment gateway partners for a smooth checkout-to-delivery experience.

3. Strategy & P&L; Ownership
- Own the online sales P&L; — revenue, margins, ad spend efficiency, and channel-wise profitability.




- Build monthly/quarterly sales plans, demand forecasts, and inventory planning inputs in coordination with supply chain.
- Identify and evaluate new channels (Quick commerce — Blinkit/Zepto/Instamart, Meesho, JioMart, etc.) as growth opportunities.

4. Team Building & Leadership
- Hire, train, and manage a small, high-output team (catalog/listing executive, ads specialist, customer support/CX).
- Set up clean SOPs and dashboards so the team runs efficiently without heavy oversight.
- Be hands-on where needed in a startup setting — this is not a pure-strategy chair role.

5. Tools & Systems
- Set up and manage the sales tech stack: Seller Central/Flipkart Seller Hub, ad platforms, a listing/catalog tool, inventory management, and analytics dashboards (Excel/Sheets at minimum, BI tools a plus).
- Bring/establish reporting rhythms — weekly sales reviews, ad performance reviews, inventory health checks.
