Role & responsibilities
- Develop and execute domestic sourcing and procurement strategies.
- Manage procurement of raw materials, packaging materials, engineering items, MRO, and indirect purchases.
- Support commercial negotiations, annual contracts, and supplier selection.
- Drive cost reduction, value engineering, and working capital improvement initiatives.
- Develop alternate suppliers and strengthen supplier performance through regular reviews.
- Ensure timely availability of materials to support uninterrupted plant operations.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with Production, Planning, Quality, Finance, and Logistics.
- Mitigate supply chain risks through contingency planning and supplier diversification.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, statutory requirements, and ethical sourcing practices.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the domestic procurement team to achieve departmental objectives.

Preferred candidate profile

-Bachelors degree in engineering; MBA in Supply Chain/Operations preferred.
