Job Summary

MNR University is looking for a responsible, accurate and detail-oriented
Accountant & Cashier
to manage day-to-day accounting activities, cash transactions, fee collections, banking transactions and financial records.

The candidate should have good knowledge of accounting principles, bookkeeping,
Tally
, cash handling and reconciliation, with the ability to maintain accurate financial documentation.

Key Responsibilities
- Maintain day-to-day books of accounts using accounting software/Tally.
- Record receipts, payments, journal and contra entries.
- Handle daily cash receipts, payments, deposits and petty cash.
- Maintain the cash book, ledgers and supporting accounting records.
- Prepare accounting vouchers, invoices and payment entries.
- Collect student fees and issue receipts as required.




- Maintain daily cash collection and deposit records.
- Perform regular cash and bank reconciliation.
- Verify and process vendor bills and payments.
- Maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable records.
- Monitor daily cash flow and ensure timely recording of transactions.
- Maintain proper filing of vouchers, invoices, receipts and other financial documents.
- Assist with monthly, quarterly and annual financial closing.
- Prepare accounting statements and reports for management.
- Assist internal and external auditors by providing required records and documents.
- Follow university accounting policies, internal controls and applicable statutory requirements.
- Coordinate with the Finance & Accounts team for day-to-day financial activities.
- Perform other accounting and finance duties assigned by management.

Qualification
- B.Com / Bachelor's degree in Commerce or equivalent
is preferred.
