About The Role
We are looking for an experienced US Accountant with strong hands-on experience in US Accounting and Oracle NetSuite. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of accounting principles, US GAAP, revenue and expense recognition, month-end and year-end closing, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
This role requires someone who can independently analyze and solve practical accounting scenarios, especially transactions involving advance payments,
deferred revenue, deferred expenses, prepaid expenses, and amortization across financial periods.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting activities for US-based clients/entities.
- Work hands-on with Oracle NetSuite ERP for accounting transactions and reporting.
- Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, prepayments, deferred revenue, deferred expenses, and other adjusting entries.
- Handle accounting for customer payments received in advance and recognize revenue appropriately based on the service delivery period.
- Manage revenue recognition and ensure appropriate accounting treatment across month-end and financial year-end periods.
- Handle prepaid and deferred expenses and recognize expenses accurately over the relevant accounting periods.
- Manage asset amortization and lease amortization entries and schedules.
