Consultant Anaesthetist

Qualification:

MD/DNB in Anaesthesiology preferred

Diploma in Anaesthesia (DA) – candidates may also be considered, depending on hospital requirements and applicable regulations

Valid medical registration with the relevant State Medical Council/NMC

Experience:

Freshers with relevant postgraduate qualification may be considered

Experienced candidates preferred

Job Responsibilities:

Provide pre-operative assessment and anaesthesia planning for patients

Administer and monitor general, regional, and local anaesthesia as appropriate

Provide anaesthesia services for elective and emergency surgeries

Monitor patients intra-operatively and manage airway, haemodynamic, and other anaesthesia-related issues

Provide post-operative care and pain management





Manage anaesthesia-related emergencies and participate in resuscitation/CPR when required

Maintain accurate patient records and anaesthesia documentation

Coordinate with surgeons, physicians, nursing staff, and other clinical departments

Follow hospital protocols, infection-control standards, and patient-safety guidelines

Participate in emergency/on-call duties as per the hospital roster
