Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Pastry Sous Chef to support the Pastry Chef in managing daily pastry and bakery operations. The ideal candidate should have strong technical knowledge, creativity, leadership skills, and experience in producing high-quality desserts, pastries, and bakery products.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Pastry Chef in managing day-to-day pastry and bakery operations.
- Supervise and guide the pastry team during production and service.
- Prepare and oversee the production of pastries, cakes, desserts, breads, and other bakery products.
- Ensure consistency in taste, quality, presentation, and portion control.
- Develop and execute new pastry and dessert concepts.
- Monitor mise en place and ensure timely production.
- Maintain high standards of food quality, hygiene, and safety.




- Ensure proper storage and handling of ingredients and finished products.
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate with the purchase team for ingredient requirements.
- Control wastage and maintain food-cost standards.
- Train and mentor junior pastry team members.
- Ensure all recipes, SOPs, and presentation standards are followed.
- Coordinate with the kitchen and service teams for smooth operations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry kitchen.
- Support the Pastry Chef during menu planning, special events, and large-volume production.

Candidate Requirements
- 4–7 years of experience in pastry/bakery operations.
- Previous experience as a Pastry Sous Chef / Senior Pastry Chef / Chef de Partie – Pastry preferred.
- Strong knowledge of French pastries, cakes, desserts, breads, and chocolate work.
- Good understanding of food costing, portion control, and inventory management.
- Strong leadership and team-management skil
