Role & responsibilities
- Exp. in design and development of Sheet Metal, Casting and Plastic components, including 3D modeling, drawing creation, and BOM generation, aligned with budget, timeline, and project resource constraints.
- Responsible for 3D modelling, drawing creation, and BOM generation for mechanical components used in EV platforms, including enclosures, brackets, mounts, and thermal management parts.
- Support in engineering change management through established processes (ECR & ECN) and ensure timely design release.
- Apply advanced knowledge of manufacturing processes for Sheet Metal and Plastic parts, including DFM/DFA principles.
- Interpret and apply GD&T;, perform tolerance stack-up analysis, and contribute to DFMEA to ensure design robustness and reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical, thermal, and systems engineers to ensure mechanical-electrical integration.
- Utilize PLM tools (Teamcenter preferred) for data management, version control, and release workflows.




- Support troubleshooting and root cause analysis of issues during development, validation, or field operation.
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in mechanical design for EVs, including lightweight materials, thermal systems, and modular design.
- Exposure to IP sealing, thermal interface design, EMC shielding, and high-voltage packaging will be an added advantage.

Skills
- Strong experience with Creo for 3D CAD modelling and Teamcenter or similar PLM tools.
- Proven ability to generate and interpret detailed engineering drawings and specifications.
- Sound knowledge of GD&T;, tolerance analysis, DFM/DFA, and design validation methodologies.
- Familiarity with EV-specific requirements such as high-voltage component packaging, structural design for vibration/shock, and thermal management systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with solid verbal and written communication abilities.
