About the Role

We are hiring a Senior English Language Editor to streamline our school textbook production (Grades 1st -12th).

The ideal candidate will ensure linguistic accuracy, pedagogical appropriateness, and structural consistency across textbooks, workbooks, and digests based on the Gujarat State Board and CBSE curricular.

Core Responsibilities
- Line Editing: Refine grammar, syntax, and tone to match specific grade levels (Grades 1st -12th).
- Proofreading: Manage multi-round checks (first to final layout proofs) for zero-error DTP output.
- Curriculum Alignment: Ensure strict compliance with board guidelines, cross-references, and indexes.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Align with authors, translators,



and DTP designers to hit strict publishing deadlines.

Preferred candidate profile
- Experience: 5+ years in educational, academic, or textbook publishing.
- Education: Bachelors or masters degree in English, Linguistics, or Education.
- Technical Skills: Expert-level MS Word (Track Changes) and PDF markup tools.
- Language Skills: Native-level English proficiency; working knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi is highly preferred.
- Pedagogy Knowledge: Familiarity with Blooms Taxonomy and age-appropriate content structuring.
