Role Purpose

The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for driving profitable sales growth across

Mumbai, Navi Mumbai and Thane by leading the Sales Officer team, expanding retail

distribution, strengthening customer relationships, and ensuring world-class execution in the

market.

This is a high-ownership leadership role for someone who enjoys building businesses,

coaching teams, and creating scalable sales systems in a rapid-growing FMCG startup.

Key Responsibilities

1. Sales Leadership

● Own the sales targets for the assigned territory.

● Prepare monthly and quarterly territory sales plans.

● Allocate sales targets to Sales Officers.

● Monitor business performance and drive corrective actions.

● Build a predictable and sustainable sales pipeline.

2. Team Leadership & Capability Building

● Recruit, onboard and develop Sales Officers.

● Coach the team through regular joint market visits.

● Conduct weekly sales reviews and performance discussions.

● Improve team productivity and selling effectiveness.

● Build a high-performance, execution-focused sales culture.





3. Distribution Expansion

● Expand BAAYO's retail footprint across the assigned territory.

● Identify high-potential markets and white-space opportunities.

● Onboard key retail accounts, cafés and HoReCa customers.

● Develop channel-specific growth strategies.

● Build and strengthen the distributor network.

4. Retail Execution Excellence

● Ensure superior product visibility across retail outlets.

● Drive merchandising standards and POSM execution.

● Monitor product availability and stock health.

● Execute local trade promotions and activation programs.

● Improve overall in-store execution quality.

5. Distributor Management

● Develop and manage distributor relationships.

● Ensure optimum stock availability across channels.

● Monitor distributor secondary sales.

● Improve distributor productivity and return on investment.
