Key Responsibilities
- Perform installation, testing, commissioning, servicing, and maintenance of elevator systems.
- Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance and routine safety inspections.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, electronic, and control-system faults.
- Attend emergency breakdown and service calls and restore equipment operation safely and efficiently.
- Inspect and maintain elevator components including motors, brakes, cables, pulleys, doors, sensors, switches, control panels, and safety devices.
- Perform adjustments, lubrication, alignment, cleaning, and replacement of worn or defective components.
- Test elevator operation after repairs and maintenance to ensure secure and reliable performance.
- Read and understand electrical diagrams, technical drawings, manuals, and equipment specifications.
- Assist with installation and modernization/upgradation of elevator systems where required.
- Follow all company safety procedures, PPE requirements, and applicable elevator safety standards.
- Maintain accurate service reports, maintenance logs,



breakdown reports, and records of parts replaced.
- Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, building management, and customers regarding service activities and technical issues.
- Identify recurring problems and recommend corrective or preventive actions.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and spare parts required for service activities.

Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of elevator electrical and mechanical systems.
- Hands-on troubleshooting and repair experience.
- Knowledge of elevator control panels, motors, sensors, switches, door systems, and safety circuits.
- Ability to use electrical and mechanical testing tools.
- Ability to read wiring diagrams and technical drawings.
- Good problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a technical team.
- Good communication and customer-handling skills.
- Willingness to travel to customer/service locations.
