Role & responsibilities

The Senior CNC Programmer will be responsible for developing safe, efficient and repeatable CNC programs for complex precision components manufactured on 3-axis and 5-axis vertical machining centres.

The role covers prototype, low-volume and production parts requiring multi-operation machining, 3+2 positioning and simultaneous 5-axis toolpaths. The programmer will work closely with manufacturing engineering, machine operators, quality and production teams to take components from CAD model and process plan through prove-out and stable production.

Preferred candidate profile
- Diploma or bachelors degree in Mechanical, Production, Manufacturing or Tool Engineering.
- Solid experience programming CNC vertical machining centres.




- Proven experience with 3+2 and simultaneous 5-axis machining.
- Advanced proficiency in a recognised CAM platform.
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings, GD&T; and tolerance requirements.
- Practical knowledge of cutting tools, holders, fixtures and machining parameters.
- Experience programming complex precision components from prototype through production.
- Familiarity with probing cycles, work-offset setting and tool measurement systems.
- Experience with aerospace, defence, medical or other high-precision components is preferred.
