Role & responsibilities
- System Ownership: Manage the microcontroller-based firmware that interfaces between the vehicle network and the cellular modem.
- Feature Implementation: Drive the edge-level logic for critical telematics functions, including OTA Flashing, remote diagnostics, and data analytics.
- Root Cause Analysis: Lead cross-functional troubleshooting to determine if issues originate in the Cloud, Network Interface, or Vehicle Interface, and coordinate resolutions.
- Connectivity Optimization: Partner with stakeholders to refine device provisioning and optimize network traffic to ensure a robust, high-performance connection.
- Architecture Evolution: Identify design improvements and participate in shaping the next-generation connectivity architecture for future vehicle platforms.
- Problem Solver:
Ability to analyze complex system logs to debug intermittent connectivity issues in a distributed cloud-to-vehicle ecosystem.
- Cooperative Mindset: Experience working with cloud engineers and system architects to optimize end-to-end data flow.
Preferred candidate profile
- Understanding of overall IOT frameworks from security and data communication standpoints.
- Understanding of MQTT protocol, TCP/IP and UDP.
- Knowledge of security implementation using certificates in PKI environment.
- Hands on exposure to CAN-FD, UART and SPI drivers
- Hands on exposure to UDS and ISO-TP protocols.
