Job Purpose

Responsible for sourcing and procurement of electronic components, PCB assemblies, electrical items, and related materials while ensuring
quality, cost, timely delivery, and supplier reliability
.

Key Responsibilities
- Identify and evaluate suppliers for electronic components and materials.
- Source components such as
ICs, resistors, capacitors, connectors, sensors, PCBs, cables, switches, relays, and other electronic parts
.
- Obtain and compare quotations based on
price, quality, lead time, payment terms, and delivery schedule
.
- Prepare and release Purchase Orders and follow up with suppliers for timely delivery.
- Coordinate with
Engineering, Stores, Production, and Quality
teams for material requirements.
- Understand
BOMs, part numbers, specifications, drawings, and technical requirements
.
- Ensure procurement of components from
approved and reliable suppliers
.
- Track material availability and highlight potential shortages or long-lead items.
- Maintain supplier records, quotations, POs, delivery status, and procurement documentation.




- Support supplier development and identify alternate sources for critical components.
- Negotiate prices and commercial terms with suppliers to achieve cost savings.
- Coordinate with Quality for
incoming inspection, rejection, replacement, and supplier corrective actions
.
- Ensure proper traceability and documentation for critical electronic components.
- Monitor market trends, component availability, obsolescence, and lead-time changes.

Required Skills
- 2+ years of procurement experience, preferably in
electronics manufacturing
.
- Valuable understanding of electronic components and their specifications.
- Ability to read and understand
BOMs and technical datasheets
.
- Good negotiation and vendor-management skills.
- Knowledge of ERP/procurement software and MS Excel.
- Strong follow-up and communication skills.
- Ability to coordinate with multiple departments and suppliers.
