Position - Mechanical Design Engineer

Experience - 3 to 6 yrs

Salary - 30k to 50k

Job Description:

Specialization: Welding Fixtures & Receiving Gauges

Key Responsibilities

1. Concept Development & Finalization
- Develop and finalize design concepts as per project requirements.
- Understand customer requirements and convert them into practical design solutions.

2. Standard Part Selection
- Select appropriate standard components and parts as per design requirements.
- Ensure proper specification, availability, and suitability of standard components.

3. Ergonomics & Safety
- Design fixtures and gauges considering operator ergonomics and workplace safety.
- Ensure designs are practical, protected, and easy to operate and maintain.

4. Drawing & Detailing
- Prepare detailed 2D manufacturing drawings with proper dimensions, tolerances, and specifications.
- Prepare assembly, component, and detailed fabrication drawings.





5. Software Skills
- AutoCAD
- Siemens NX
- Working knowledge of relevant design and drafting tools.

6. Technical Knowledge
- Good knowledge of GD&T; (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, welding fixtures, gauges, and engineering drawings.

7. Welding Fixture & Receiving Gauge Design
- Design and develop welding fixtures, checking/receiving gauges, and related tooling.
- Coordinate with manufacturing and production teams for design feasibility and improvements.

Required Experience
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in mechanical/tooling design.
- Experience in Welding Fixture and Receiving/Checking Gauge Design is preferred.
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings, GD&T;, manufacturing processes, ergonomics, and safety.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
