Role & responsibilities

Operation and Maintenance: Develop comprehensive operation and maintenance plans for electrical distribution network and substation, managing preventive and breakdown maintenance activities, outage/shutdown management, and equipment testing.

Equipment Maintenance: Coordination with maintenance team and vendors for periodic maintenance for electrical equipment such as transformers, switchgear, circuit breakers, relays, and protective devices. Prompt maintenance activities to ensure minimal disruptions to the distribution network.

Cable Fault Analysis and Diagnosis: Investigate electrical cable faults, restoring supply, pinpointing cable faults and repairing the faults.

Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety regulations, codes, and standards during operation and maintenance activities. Conduct regular safety inspections, risk assessments,



and implement necessary safety measures to mitigate hazards associated with electrical distribution systems.

Asset Management: Develop strategies for asset management, including equipment lifecycle assessment, replacement planning, and capital expenditure forecasting. Optimize the utilization of assets and ensure their optimal performance and longevity.

Metering & billing: Lead a team of technicians to carry out meter reading of residential, commercial and industrial consumers. Connection & disconnection of meters.

Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of operation and maintenance activities, including equipment history, maintenance logs, and inspection reports. Prepare regular reports on system performance, maintenance activities etc

Preferred candidate profile

Qualification: Degree in Electrical Engineering with minimum 1 year of experience/ Diploma in Electrical Engineering with minimum 3 year of experience.
