Job Description

The role involves designing and modifying sheet metal parts in line with manufacturing, packaging, styling, and CAE requirements. It includes creating parametric surface models for closure parts (outer skin and inner reinforcement) as per packaging and design standards, supporting body engineering in delivering projects, and ensuring DVP&R; and DFMEA compliance through virtual analysis in collaboration with the CAE team.

Qualifications

+ Designing of sheet metal parts. Modification of parts based on manufacturing, packaging, styling and CAE inputs.

+ Support the body engineering in Delivering the design Projects.

+ Create parametric Surface models of closure parts (outer and Inner Skin/ Inner Reinforcement Parts) as per Packaging requirements,



Design standards.

+ Responsible for meeting DVP&R; and DFMEA virtual analysis by interacting with necessary CAE team.

+ Knowledge of forming/manufacturability and assembly.

+ Knowledge in GD&T; with the ability to apply to components and assemblies

Experience

+ 3-6 total years of experience.

+ 3-6 years of experience with BIW structures/Side wall/Body upper part design/joining techniques, UGNX.

Software

+ Must Have: BIW, UGNX, Dood, Closure, BIW Structure, Design.

+ Positive to Have: PDM -Team center
