We are seeking a highly experienced
Senior AS400 / IBM i Infrastructure & DR Failover Engineer
with strong expertise in managing mission-critical infrastructure within
core banking and financial services environments
.

The role will focus on ensuring infrastructure resilience, high availability, disaster recovery readiness, and the automation of failover and failback processes. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with
AS400 / IBM i administration, HA, replication, DR planning, and business continuity
in production-critical and regulated environments.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage and support
AS400 / IBM i infrastructure
in high-availability and mission-critical environments.
- Design, implement, and maintain
failover and failback strategies
for AS400 / IBM i systems.
- Lead
Disaster Recovery (DR)
preparedness activities, including workplace readiness, DR drills, testing, and validation exercises.
- Ensure DR environments remain continuously ready, including:
- Infrastructure readiness
- Replication health
- Network connectivity
- System and user access




- Documentation and operational procedures
- Automate failover and failback processes using scripts, tools, or orchestration platforms to reduce manual intervention and recovery time.
- Work closely with
core banking and financial services application teams
to align infrastructure resilience with business and operational requirements.
- Monitor system performance, availability, capacity, and replication health across primary and DR environments.
- Identify potential infrastructure risks and proactively implement improvements to strengthen system resilience.
- Prepare, maintain, and regularly update
DR runbooks, SOPs, recovery procedures, and compliance documentation
.
- Support audits, regulatory requirements, risk assessments, and compliance activities relevant to
BFSI environments
