Site Engineer – Railway OHE / TRD

Summary of Work

We have secured multiple Railway OHE (Overhead Equipment) and TRD (Traction distribution) modification works under Southern Railway. The projects involve modification of existing 25 kV OHE arrangements for additional platform shelters, Auxiliary Transformer (AT) installations for LC Gate interlocking, OHE shifting and alteration works, replacement of existing OHE components, wiring modifications, testing & commissioning and energisation activities. The engineer will be responsible for planning and executing all site activities during Railway power blocks, coordinating with Railway TRD officials, ensuring timely availability of OHE materials, supervising contractors and labour, maintaining quality and safety standards, preparing daily progress reports, material reconciliation, billing documentation and completing the work within the stipulated Railway schedule. Since most activities are executed during traffic/power blocks,



proper planning and coordination are critical for successful project execution.

What We Require from the Candidate
- Minimum 4–8 years experience in Railway OHE/TRD Projects.
- Solid knowledge of complete OHE execution from foundation to commissioning.
- Experience in OHE modification works, Auxiliary Transformer works and power block execution.
- Good understanding of OHE drawings, SED, Appendix-G and Railway specifications.
- Ability to prepare daily execution plans and optimise manpower utilisation during power blocks.
- Knowledge of OHE material planning, site inventory and material reconciliation.
- Ability to coordinate with Railway officials (SSE/TRD, AEN, DEE, Operating & Safety Departments).
- Experience in contractor management and labour supervision.
- Knowledge of measurement books, RA Bills, documentation and billing.
- Ability to minimise material wastage, improve labour productivity and maximise project profitabil
