Job Summary
We are looking for an
Electrical Design Engineer
with
3–7 years of relevant experience
in EV charging infrastructure, electrical system design, power distribution, PDU development, or HV/LV electrical systems.

The candidate will be responsible for designing the complete electrical architecture of EV charging stations, from
utility/grid input to individual chargers
, including power distribution, protection systems, PDU design, HV/LV panels, switchgear, electrical calculations, layouts, and detailed design documentation.

Key Responsibilities
- Design complete electrical architecture for EV charging stations, from utility/grid input to individual chargers.
- Develop power distribution schemes for multiple EV chargers at a single location.
- Perform electrical calculations for:
- Connected load, maximum demand, diversity & demand factors
- Voltage drop and short-circuit/fault current
- Cable and busbar sizing
- MCB/MCCB/ACB/fuse selection
- Earthing & grounding
- Power factor and reactive power
- Transformer and DG capacity
- Thermal loading and derating




- Develop Single-Line Diagrams (SLDs), electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Design and develop Power Distribution Units (PDUs) for EV charging applications.
- Design/specify HV/LV panels, switchboards, switchgear, busbars, breakers, contactors, isolators, protection devices and metering systems.
- Develop electrical layouts, panel layouts, cable routing, cable schedules, termination details and interconnection drawings.
- Ensure proper segregation and protection of HV, LV, control and communication circuits.
- Coordinate electrical design with mechanical, civil, charger, controls and electronics teams.
- Review designs for safety, reliability, maintainability, manufacturability and applicable standards.
