Associate – Business Finance

Vahan is a YC-backed, AI-powered hiring marketplace connecting blue-collar talent to jobs at scale. We're looking for an Associate – Business Finance to join our Finance team and support financial planning, business analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting.

This is a great fit for someone with 1–2 years of FP&A; or business finance experience who's sharp with numbers, fluent in Excel, and comfortable working across teams to turn financial data into decisions.

What you'll do
- Assist in preparing annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and monthly financial plans
- Support financial models and business performance reports
- Analyse revenue, costs, margins, and key financial metrics to surface trends and variances
- Prepare periodic MIS reports and dashboards for management review
- Partner with business teams to evaluate initiatives through financial analysis and profitability assessment
- Support pricing, incentive calculations, and cost optimization efforts
- Track departmental budgets,



monitor spend against plan, and run variance analysis
- Support cash flow tracking, working capital reporting, and liquidity planning
- Coordinate with Accounting, Operations, HR, and Business teams for timely, accurate reporting
- Contribute to finance projects and process improvement initiatives

What we're looking for
- MBA (Finance) or CA, with 1–2 years of relevant experience in Business Finance, FP&A;, Financial Analysis, MIS Reporting, or Corporate Finance
- Solid grasp of FP&A; fundamentals, budgeting, and forecasting
- Excellent Excel and Google Sheets skills; basic financial modelling ability
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail
- Solid understanding of financial statements and business metrics
- Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination skills
- Exposure to Zoho Books or another ERP/accounting system (SAP, Oracle, etc.) is a plus
